I am currently helping a domestic abuse survivor start again here after finally moving from across the country with nothing but the clothes on her back and her cat. Ive known her for years and it’s been an awful situation for years so I am so proud that she has been brave enough to leave.
I have managed to find her a cute little place for her and her cat that she likes and she has the microwave and fridge that it comes with but not much else, so she is sleeping on a blow up mattress while she applies for jobs. She says she can wait until she gets a paycheck to get a bed but I know she has a bad back and that just can’t be good for her and who knows how long until she gets work.
So I thought I’d throw it out there just in case someone has a spare bed that they are wanting to donate to a lovely young woman who is trying her darndest to rebuild her life and I know she would be so appreciative of anything offered.
