Duties include: feeding hay (knowing the difference between both kinds), feeding supplements (and NOT mix them up), filling up water as needed, and recognize if a horse might be in distress, or there is any kind of issue that needs to be brought to owner's attention.
Ideal candidate is an actual horse person, who understands horses' needs, has reliable transportation, must speak and read English and must be dependable, and is willing to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions. This job is caring for animals and their well-being, horses don't care if it's a holiday, 100 degrees F or below freezing, they need to be fed and cared for no matter what. This is a long-term position.
