4U Server about 24 inches long, for sale.

"Barracuda Backup Server, Model # 990"
Manufactured by Barracuda Backup Servers

https://www.barracuda.com/products/data-protection/backup/models#addsearch=model%20990

Has 2, 1000 watt power supplies.

Weighs about 95 pounds.

Motherboard is Asus KGPE D16

https://www.asus.com/us/commercial-servers-workstations/kgped16/

It has an LSI Logic/ Broadcom SAS controller.

Hard Drives have their own SAS backplane.

Most of the Hard Drives are Hitachi 3 Terabyte SAS drives, like in the photo.

SAS = Serial Attached SCSI.

Drives are Hot-Pluggable, i.e can be exchanged when computer is running.

Hard Drive Backplane is right in the middle of the airflow for 2 serious CPU's,
so hard drive chassis has lots of holes punched in the sheet metal.

SAS cables are really skinny, they go to SAS connector on the hard drive backplane.

CPU = AMD Opteron 6386 SE

Basically the fastest Opteron, before AMD started calling their processors "EPYC".

If you spent a lot of money on a 4U AMD-based server in 2015/16, this is what you might have gotten.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Opteron_processors

RAM = Actica 8 GB DDR3 ECC server RAM, 8 RAM for each CPU.

re the Disk Controller -
I think LSI Logic might have been bought by Broadcom

It has the marking LSI "BAT151P-A".

This has -1- internal connector so I suspect it might have one of these Broadcom Part Numbers as well ~
"One internal connector for the MegaRAID SAS 9240-4i, SAS 9260-4i, SAS 9260CV-4i, SAS 9266-4i, SAS 9271-4i, and SAS 9280-4i4e RAID controllers
SAS 9280-4i4e RAID controllers

https://docs.broadcom.com/doc/12353227

In addition to the 16 SAS connectors,
Motherboard also has 14 SATA connectors for SATA drives.
