WHEN: Available mid-June through mid-October, so a 4 month commitment is required.
WHERE: 2 minutes from downtown Ashland, up a hill just a few blocks before the main part of downtown, with amazing views!
NOT an apartment building, more like a classic carriage house apartment over a private garage in a quiet residential neighborhood.
It's also only not far from the Ashland Hospital.
WHAT: Truly a rare sanctuary home- large, beautiful AND affordable for being so close to downtown! It has high ceilings, a huge gorgeous view of the Valley from the living room, and a territorial view of the enormous back yard from the bedroom and back deck. Deer, fox, songbirds, and wild turkeys are frequent visitors out back, all seen from a comfy bed, which faces french doors opening onto your own private deck. Both large rooms have high ceilings and lots of windows pouring in the light, with a skylight in both rooms. The bath room is also large, pretty, nicely tiled, and has a soaking tub of the old-school size. The kitchenette has a two-burner stove, shelving, a deep sink, a normal sized fridge, and a unit that's a microwave, convection oven, and air fryer, all in one. There are ample pots, pans and everything needed for a person to cook. It's got carpeting in both rooms, and has a large bench seat /couch with pillows by the window, which doubles as a guest bed, as well as a love-seat couch and a gliding rocker, a dining table with 4 new and matching chairs.
Landlords: The owners are in the main house right next door, and they're super nice people; attentive and willing to fix anything that's needed. They are retired, quiet, and love working in their landscape, but give their renters total privacy.
It's full of closets too; a large coat closet, two full closets in the bedroom- one w/shelves, and cubby holes, and one for hanging clothes.
It's blissfully quiet,
Price includes utilities.
No smokers, vapers, or heavy partiers please.
Leaving for the Summer but returning in the Fall, so I'm seeking a steady, mature, and responsible person to live here while I'm gone. It's a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary, and so I'm hoping to find a person who recognizes that, and will treat this place well.
Sublet until mid-October or November. 1st (flexibility according to your needs) I will email you back, and then meet you in person. Need to see a rental references, and a personal reference, first and last months rent, but no deposit; just a contractual commitment to stay through an agreed upon date.
