Couple Seeking Room Rental (Medford)

Rocky & I both have flawless rental history with reputable & credible sources that we are happy to provide upon request.
We're looking for roomshares, sublets, studios, 1 bedroom, anything really. We just need a space of our own at a reasonable price. We were hoping to find a privately owned property or a place where someone has a room to rent out, to avoid hours of filling out applications + tons of fees they charge just to apply at each one.
Our current roommate/landlord just informed us that he plans to increase our rent by a significant amount of money starting next month. Due to the present state of things, we've decided that staying here simply isn't worth what the cost is going to be. So that's why we're looking for a room to rent elsewhere.
We've been apartment hunting for the past week or two, and to our dismay, we have been quickly reminded of what a pain and hassle it is. The applications themselves are lengthy and tedious, and then they charge a fee for each one. Which really starts to add up fast when we're applying at dozens of properties, just to get put on a long waiting list, followed by more costs for background checks, deposits, move-in fees, etc. So we decided to try a different route and do it the old school way via Craigslist, in hopes of finding a better match.
(Side note: We have absolutely no problem paying a deposit where it's appropriate, we're just trying to avoid jumping through all the extra hoops to save time, money, and heartache if we can.)
About us:
Rocky works at a popular local restaurant, where he's been for over a year. He also just finished taking a college course on AI Engineering. He honestly has way too many hobbies for me to even list, he's super talented though, and lately has been spending most of his free time working on his project that he plans to convert into an app. He also enjoys making music, designing clothes, and creating stencils and stickers.
I also work locally, as a secretary and part-time as a traveling professional cleaner. In my free time, I like to take trips to cool nature spots with Rocky & our dogs, go hiking, read articles about space, star-gaze, and write poetry. I also volunteer at the local dog sanctuary, and am currently taking an online class to get my certification as a tech specialist.
Sometimes we also both work side jobs at our friend's mom's property in Talent on the weekends to make extra money and to help her out.
We have 2 awesome dogs, Ren & Ruby.
Ren has been my service dog for 3-4 years now. He's a Lab/Sheppard mix. He's playful, loyal, and loves to give lots of unsolicited kisses to anyone who will let him. Ren enjoys playing with his ball, hanging out with his friends at the dog park, and following me around everywhere I go.
Ruby is actually our friend's dog whom we are caring for temporarily until he returns from his trip. She's a 10 y/o terrier, who is super shy and sweet and gets her feelings hurt if you don't acknowledge her existence with lots of pets and high-pitched affirmations. She's pretty lazy and likes to spend most of her time cuddled up at home with her toys, aside from our casual walks.
They are both extremely well-trained and get along great with other dogs, kids, and even cats.
