My name is Malia and I'm looking to find roommates who want to create a supportive communal living situation. I lived in a cooperative in college and loved being a part of a house that was intentional in what we engaged in, had weekly house meetings to discuss what was and wasn't working and was always full of people to hang out with and create joy with. The atmosphere resulted in roommates that were engaged in each others lives and not simply people that cohabitated in the same apartment. My idea is that I'll put this out and see if I get any responses and based on how many people are interested, look for apartments of the according size. With my income I would be looking for someplace where individual monthly rent is somewhere between $400 - $800. Some ideas of what the house expectations might look like are listed below although everything would be open to discussion.
-Collectively establishing ground rules for the house.
-Weekly house meetings.
-Communal dinners a certain amount of times a week.
-Investing in some basic communal foodstuffs.
-Rotating communal cleaning chores.
-Sober communal spaces (no drugs+alcohol in communal spaces).
-Collective house activities.
-Anything else that the group wants to implement.
Anyways, if you are interested please contact me with the information above.
Have a beautiful day!
