Bentella Development is a family-owned real estate development and construction company with upcoming developments in Southern Oregon. We specialize in high-quality residential projects and subdivisions, and we are currently building the Caldera Oaks community in Ashland, Oregon.
Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional to join our small team part-time (≈24 hours per week). This hybrid role combines remote bookkeeping/data entry with 1–2 days per week on-site at our jobsite construction trailer. You will handle invoicing, subcontractor tracking, expense reviews, and general bookkeeping to keep our active projects organized and moving forward.
Schedule & Location
Approximately 24 hours per week (flexible — can be 3 full days or spread across the week)
Flexibility of some hours remote (from home)
1–2 days per week required on-site at our construction trailer in Ashland, Oregon
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and financial data entry for Bentella Development and related entities
Organize, code, and process incoming subcontractor invoices and billing
Review and reconcile expense reports, receipts, and credit card statements
Track subcontractor presence, progress, and documentation while on-site
Maintain accurate job-cost tracking and project financial records
Keep digital and physical project files organized (contracts, change orders, permits, lien waivers, insurance certificates, etc.)
Support preparation of monthly financial summaries and lender draw packages
Provide general administrative support to the owner and project team

Improving cash flow through timely and accurate invoicing, billing, and payments
Giving the owner real-time visibility into project costs versus budgets (so we catch issues early)
Reducing administrative bottlenecks so projects stay on schedule and on budget
Keeping professional, audit-ready records that protect the company and make tax/lender time much easier
Increasing subcontractor accountability on the jobsite and preventing small problems from becoming big ones
Freeing up the owner’s time to focus on high-level project management, new opportunities, and family
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
2+ years of bookkeeping, construction administration, or related experience (construction industry experience is a big plus)
Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for on-site days in Ashland
Professional, trustworthy, and comfortable handling confidential financial information
Compensation
$22 – $30 per hour (depending on experience and skills). Paid as W-2 or 1099 depending on structure.
