This is my Gibson G-3 Bass. Serial number indicates that this is a 1982 model. The pickups are stamped 1979. These were not very popular when they came out but have gotten much more so in the past 30 years. Krist Novoselic from Nirvana, Mike Dirnt from Green Day, John Entwistle from The Who, and Gene Simmons from Kiss all played these over the years.

I've owned this bass for about 20 years. I love the way it plays and the way it sounds. I'm selling it because I need to pay some bills.

The original toggle switch was repaired by John at Rogue Guitar Tech in 2023 after he determined it didn't need to be replaced. I had a cleaning, waxing, and set up done at the same time. The attached pics are from John. He also polished all the frets and put a new set of D'Addario NYXL 45105 Long Scale Strings on it.

Comes with the original hardshell case, which admittedly has seen better days. The case for the Jack Casady bass does fit these according to the Facebook group if you wanted to replace it.
