Update: 04/27/18

We have found a adoptive home for this wonderful old guy. We are still posting to try to locate his owner. After 30-days, this post will be removed.

He is posted on Craigslist, Facebook, and Critter Alert. Please if someone knows the owner, please let us know. Otherwise, he will have his forever home with Sally.

04/19/2018 Thursday:

My husband opened the door to a very large dog laying on our front porch on his way to work. At first we thought he was a Lab, but the shape of his jaw was different, and huge paws, maybe Lab and Elkhound mix?

He is older, and was severely dehydrated. 😢 He has right hip or leg pain. Most likely arthritis. He seemed lost or displaced. Please, if anyone has seen this gentle giant, and knows his owner(s) let us know❣ We will be taking him to All Creatures Animal Hospital to see if he is chipped, and see about his hip/leg. He walks fine once he gets going, and his tail is always wagging, because he's being shown love and attention. 💗

If he is lost or displaced we so want him to find his family. He's received love, attention, food, water, and snacks. We will NOT call the pound, they would most likely put him down.

What does it say about our society when we don't respect our elderly any longer, human and/or are furry family?

Sorry, but if he was dropped off like a bag of potatoes, it is just disgusting! He has been such a joy, and loves to have attention. He is a beautiful soul, but we have three dogs, and a kitty of are own.

Please, Please call asap if anyone knows who this magnificent boy belongs to. 🤔🐶 He's a very big guy, so someone may have seen him or know who he belongs too.

If by chance we cannot find his family, is there anyone who would like an awesome guard dog, and friend?

We could start a list???

He is not a barker unless it's for good reason. He sleeps in the house now, and he isn't bothered by our kitty or other dogs. I so wish someone will step up and takes responsibility for him. 😢

IF, you dropped him off because you didn't have money too care for his needs, and you just didn't want to have him euthanized, just let us know that's the case. To me it would be like dropping off your kid, but we just need too know, so we know how to proceed. I would just be beside myself if one of our doggies was missing, it would tear my heart out! At least we would have his name, and get his records, and find him a forever home.

BUT,
☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠
IF, you dropped him off because he is elderly, and he gave his faithfulness too you as good dogs do, and you just didn't want to deal with him because he is older.....

Then may God deal with you in His time, and I promise you, you will know when that happens..... 💖🕊
