May 1st to September 15th. Known as one of the most beautiful lakes in Southern Oregon. Paddle only NO motors. Remote. Day use area and 19 campgrounds that are spread out around the lakes. This is remote living, NO FHU's/electricity / no running water / no cell service or wifi. Forest Service Handheld Radio supplied for emergencies.
This position has been accomplished by one but is best suited for a couple (2-persons) Applicants must be ALL AROUND GREAT at working with people/the public.
Requirements: Valid DL. Any pets MUST be all around people AND pet friendly. You must have your own RV / Trailer/Pop up tent minimum/accommodations. Truck with trailer hitch not a requirement but a help in making you more income.
Responsibilities: • Assist and check-in overnight campers • Be a friendly & informative host to day-visitors. Collect day use fees • Manage parking lot and place ticket warnings. •Maintain clean campsites, day use areas and restrooms. Be current on camp schedule and fill open campsites to walk ins. Run shuttle service of camping equipment only. Rent SUPs or Kayaks if motivated. An ATV and small trailer are provided for general lake maintenance, but Camp have and will also use it to generate a lot of income and tips making this lucrative for what we see for camp host positions. Hosts are responsible for maintenance of the ATV and keep 100% of the shuttle service revenue!
This position has proven to be a lot of fun for the right hosts to get away at times for The Britt Fest and all the area has to offer, great money for a camp host position, but it is remote living and on weekends and some weekdays mid-June through late August a lot of work.
