We are looking for a HR Specialist/Recruiter who is passionate about building a diverse, mission-driven workforce that reflects the community we serve. You'll be the face of our company to prospective talent while ensuring our internal team is supported through HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the recruitment process, partnering with department managers to determine recruitment needs.
• Review applications & resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, arrange interviews with the hiring manager.
• Conduct new hire orientations. Ensure proper legal employment documentation is completed.
• Maintain up-to-date State and Federal required postings across all locations.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR Department such as, but not limited to, maintaining employee files, participation in set up and preparation for employee events, interacting and supplying information to employees, department managers, and job applicants.
• Write and design employee-centered communications.
• Manage sensitive and confidential matters and protect the security of employee information, data and files.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Strong understanding of Human Resources concepts and overall intellectual curiosity.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting strategies and human resource laws.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with employees, management, vendors, etc.
• Intermediate computer skills including Google and MS Office product. Experience with HRIS software a plus.
• Demonstrates considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgement with ability to build/maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team, while also communicating and interacting with a larger group.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Exercises individual judgement while dealing with potential or actual employee issues.
