Silver Deathlayer Hens covered by Silver, Lemon and Gold Deathlayer roosters. Chicks will result in Silver or Lemon coloring. (Last photo is our Lemon Deathlayer rooster).
If you haven't researched this breed, now is the time. They are said to lay eggs up until death (hence the name) and don't taper off like most breeds do around 2-3 years. Steady layers of stark white eggs. Great way to add that beautiful white to your basket, and having a beautiful hen as well! Gorgeous at all life stages (as chicks, hens and roosters) and good foraging abilities.
Great breed for free range or if you have a larger run. Would not recommend a small coop, although I know a lot of breeders keep them in smaller coops for breeding so it is debatable. Mine are on our pasture land.
Pick up is 2-3 days after hatch. Rogue River, a couple miles from exit 48.
