Kunekune Piglets for sale. Will be ready middle of July (July 15th to be exact) for new homes.
Why chose Kune? Because they make perfect pet or meat animals. They are small enough to be a friend or be an easy at home butchering. They don’t grow out like those big hogs and they require a lot less feed than the bigger hogs.
Safer to have with small children. Easier to butcher at home if you go that route. Easy to turn into a pet if you prefer. Good for clearing brush or munch on a field.
Kunekune pigs have shorter snouts so they don’t dig up the ground as much as a large hog. They are gentler on pasture/soil.
Because it takes longer to grow out they will taste better. Personally I’ve had industrial hogs that grow out overnight and I’ve had Kune meat and Kune wins every time! Their meat is darker and more marbled than conventional pig meat. And they produce a lot more lard for you to have cooking fats (bacon grease) and/or lard for soap making and other crafts.
