20 acre mining claim on Josephine Creek. This is a high producing drainage and district, well known for its historical significance and good gold. Inside the 20 acres are two old benches, one on each side of the creek. Year round water in main creek and a smaller tributary cuts through the east side bench. Some hydraulic mining was done on the east side bench in the late 1800’s but still lots of virgin ground left. Only about 5 miles from Kerby, once out at the claim it is remote and private. Would recommend 4wd or other types of off-road vehicles. Two separate access points to claim, one at lower boundary and one at upper boundary. The upper boundary road takes you right onto the east side bench and is accessible by atvs or jeeps unless new claim owner wants to widen road by clearing some brush that has crept in over the years. Road is wide enough for full size truck just needs some brush clearing on the sides. Very nice claim with lots of potential. Contact if you would like to check it out.
