We’re experiencing a National blood shortage. This means if we experience a tragedy like those these last few weeks, we may not have enough blood on hand to support our community.
Please don’t wait until a tragedy happens to donate blood. Each donation is tested the day its received, and is not available to our local hospitals until the next day.
The donation process takes approximately 45 minutes (Registration, screening, donation, monitoring) and the actual donation takes less than 10 minutes.
Afraid of needles? It’s one pinch! Your vein is just under the skin. (I promise we’re not looking for a vein in your elbow)
How do you prepare before donating? Eat a good breakfast that includes protein, and hydrate. We’ll provide you with juice when you arrive and treat you to cookies after your donation. The. Best. Cookies!
Remember, not only are you saving lives with your donation, but you're helping a local student earn scholarship money for the nursing program.
Donating blood is easy, and all it costs is your time.
