Greetings...I don't use smart devices, or subscribe to social medias or full-time internet connections – yet!. Please don't hold this against me...I also at this time do not have a working vehicle. During covid, I stayed busy by sorting, organizing and downsizing unwanteds. I also started assembling and affixing found art objects into unique sculptures with items I really wanted to keep and make into cool 3d table top sized objects and larger.

I call them...Very-Able Mynd-Ageries a play on the words: variable menageries. When my inner-child's amazing giddiness propelled me to attempt to describe the emotions and enthusiasms I experience when melding, making and assembling my first series of sculptures intentionally, my friend who is a world-class estate size marble sculptor calmly stopped me and said: “when you have something to show me, call me and I will stop by and look at what you have and if I like your work, I will give you a free two-week show at my studio/gallery/foundry.”
It took me over a year to gather the necessary ego and to have enough finished and ready pieces for my first public show and tell ever. My friend approved my first attempts at being a self-taught amateur sculptor creator. My goal is to have all my ducks in order before my 60th birthday. It's been over 3+ years since I stopped by my friends gallery. I am kind of in a slump at this time, but still getting organized and assembling new future project kits in boxes for future pieces.
I am inspired by the works of Lindy Kehoe, Victoria Christian, and Peregrine Honig. And of course the pioneers of Dada, Assemblage and mixed mediums: Jasper Johns, Marcel Duchamp & Alfred Jarry and then the unknown and prolific Philadelphia Wireman or Wirewoman? This inspiration propelled me to write this Craigslist Listing with images...Thank You for taking the time.
In 1964, Jasper Johns wrote himself a note: 'Take an object. Do something to it. Do something else to it.' Marcel Duchamp coined the term ready-made in 1915 to describe a common object that had been selected and not materially altered in any way. Alfred Jarry was associated with the Symbolist movement. His play Ubu Roi is often cited as a forerunner of Dada and the Surrealist and Futurist movements of the 1920s and 1930s.
