The band Sugarjax (http://www.myspace.com/sugarjaxband) is looking for a new lead singer - male and/or female. We are also seeking a new keyboard player who can incorporate effects. We are currently 4 experienced musicians: a female back-up vocalist, male bassist, male guitarist, and male drummer; ages 28 to 43. We have 3 sets of material ready to rock as soon as we can get a singer up to speed. We play cover tunes and are working on originals.

For each role, we are seeking musicians with a fun attitude who can be outgoing onstage and connect well with an audience. We'd like these bandmates to be into playing a mix of familiar and not-so-familiar edgy alt-rock, soulful, funky, and classic rock tunes ('60s to '00s). Our song list is eclectic and mainly focused on upbeat tunes to get audiences shaking it. We currently cover songs by Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, The Vines, Aretha, Blondie, U2, Zep, Sugar Ray, Sheryl Crow, Green Day, Pink, Talking Heads, Beatles, Ramones, Sublime, and others.

Living within 30 minutes of Ashland, where we practice, would be important too.
